Painted my nails again this week to usher the year of the Snake! This will be my first proper nail tutorial! Sadly, no video, cause I shy la wanna talk in the video :p Just imagine me talking when you are reading this post rofl. The stuff that I will be using in this tutorial is using a university student budget! Good news for those on a student budget :)
This will be the end result depending on your skills! Kekeke!
Looks like I did it at the nail parlour eh? :D
Step 1: My nails are long and originally oval shaped. For this nail tutorial, I filed my nails to make it look squarish. Make sure to do it on a piece of paper, not directly on the table. It made a lot of mess after I filed all 10 fingers .__. You can get these in a pack of 5 in F21 or in Watsons.
Step 2: After filing, it would look something like this. I didn't file it too squarish, just a little rounded at the edges. Hehe this is how my naked nails look like anyway.
Step 3: Apply on base coat to strengthen your nails and to add a natural shine afterwards!
I'm using Face Shop's nail strengthener in 01 손톱강화제. Have been using this for about almost 6 months! It's still usable, not that sticky till now.
1st colour I'm using: Dark blood red from Skin Food. Code RE101, RM8.80 per bottle.
Step 4: I know many people usually use cotton buds / Q-tips to remove the nail polish mistakes but I have my own method. I prefer to use dense square sponges because it's more precise. I remove any mistakes by putting some nail polish remover at the 90° angle of the sponge. I bought a pack of 30 square sponges from Daiso for RM5. Lol everything there is RM5 :O
Tada! And you're done! I didn't use any top coat because it usually ruins my manicure, the colour just fades together with the top coat! It's so shiny because I used base coat before putting on the red and gold nail colour.
Hope you like the nail tutorial! You can comment for nail tutorial suggestions!
Happy New Year and Happy Valentines' Day to those taken or single! ^_^
