Simple Red & Gold Chinese New Year / Valentine Nail Tutorial

Painted my nails again this week to usher the year of the Snake! This will be my first proper nail tutorial! Sadly, no video, cause I shy la wanna talk in the video :p Just imagine me talking when you are reading this post rofl. The stuff that I will be using in this tutorial is using a university student budget! Good news for those on a student budget :)

This will be the end result depending on your skills! Kekeke!
Looks like I did it at the nail parlour eh? :D

Step 1: My nails are long and originally oval shaped. For this nail tutorial, I filed my nails to make it look squarish. Make sure to do it on a piece of paper, not directly on the table. It made a lot of mess after I filed all 10 fingers .__. You can get these in a pack of 5 in F21 or in Watsons.

Step 2: After filing, it would look something like this. I didn't file it too squarish, just a little rounded at the edges. Hehe this is how my naked nails look like anyway.

Step 3: Apply on base coat to strengthen your nails and to add a natural shine afterwards!

I'm using Face Shop's nail strengthener in 01 손톱강화제. Have been using this for about almost 6 months! It's still usable, not that sticky till now.

1st colour I'm using: Dark blood red from Skin Food. Code RE101, RM8.80 per bottle.

2nd colour I'm using: Gold opaque nail polish from Skin Food. Code BR613, RM8.80 per bottle.

Step 4: I know many people usually use cotton buds / Q-tips to remove the nail polish mistakes but I have my own method. I prefer to use dense square sponges because it's more precise. I remove any mistakes by putting some nail polish remover at the 90° angle of the sponge. I bought a pack of 30 square sponges from Daiso for RM5. Lol everything there is RM5 :O

Tada! And you're done! I didn't use any top coat because it usually ruins my manicure, the colour just fades together with the top coat! It's so shiny because I used base coat before putting on the red and gold nail colour.

Hope you like the nail tutorial! You can comment for nail tutorial suggestions!
Happy New Year and Happy Valentines' Day to those taken or single! ^_^

Brunch at The Garden

Skipped a class on last Tuesday morning because it was freaking jam. A journey that took 20 minutes on a normal day took 1 hour 40 minutes instead! Met Stephanie in McD to wait for Adrienne to finish her class and later we head to Mid Valley for brunch! ♥

Was so jakun. I haven't been to Mid Valley for the past two months. I hung out at Pav most of the time.
They opened up the area that was for construction. New outlets like Muji, Daiso, Match Up and they revamped Pets Wonderland. The cats there looked damn hyper ♥

Selca at The Garden. The deco at The Garden very chio, worthwhile to eat there JUST to take pictures XD
Aztec aztec tribal tribal spike spike stud stud. I haz them all HAHAHA
BB cream and eyeliner only.

Their set lunch is very affordable despite the elaborate deco.
Mostly RM10+ included bottomless ice lemon tea and soup of the day.

Have to learn to drive to more places! This gang here loves to eat like me! ♥

Nail of the Week: Gold Gradient nails

Nail of the first week of February 2013! Bought two new colours from Skin Food! Super in love with their classy and mild tone nail colours! I am into autumn tones nowadays! And I love their quality! For the price range of RM8 - RM15, it is super high quality! My red nail polish actually lasted for 1 week without the top coat, and yet it still looks shiny! I think I should do a nail tutorial one day. I get a lot of likes and inquiries on my nails all the time. Thanks for liking and asking! ^__^

One layer of beige shimmer, gradient of gold opaque nail polish!
Added a jewel on the ring finger nail! ♥

Beige shimmer nail polish as the base.

"...And he's long gone when he's next to me,
And I realize the blame is on me,
'Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in,
So shame on me now...And the saddest fear comes creeping in,
That you never loved me or her..."

Relates to me.
