November trip to Bangkok [Part II]

Hey lovelies! ♥♥♥

Happy weekend! It's inching closer to year 2014! Which means a new degree year for me! Wee! Feeling motivated! ^_^

Blogging on part II of Bangkok trip! Image heavy post!

Morning breakfast!

Pretty gold ring for 210 baht / RM21
Till today, it didn't rust or show signs of rusting. I learned my lessons after few years of wearing cosmetic jewellery is - NEVER BUY CHEAP JEWELLERY. Extra RM10 makes a big difference! Don't get rings less than RM20, there's a reason why it's so cheap. Get those above RM25 to be safe. I usually get those Made in Korea :)

Peaceful demo just outside Platinum Shopping Mall! Their demos are quite peaceful. The police there are very nice towards their own people, unlike in Malaysia -_-

Central World is food haven!

Ate at Kum Poon restaurant.

Morning the next day!
Omelette oozing with cheese ♥__♥

Window-shopping at Siam Centre!
Every clothing stall is so unique!

Food Republic at the highest floor.

Just when my hopes are down after finding clothes that fit me :') Saw this in the toilet stall door.
Not all free sizes clothings in Bangkok is FREE SIZE. It's mostly XS - S :/

Siam Paragon is equivalent to KL's Starhill and Pavilion.

Steven Gerrald wax statue! ^_^

Walk using the BTS link from Siam Paragon to Central World. Pretty far by walking distance.
Tea time at MOS Burger!

Teriyaki burger!

Tourists going crazy in Naraya. I don't get why female tourists are so crazy over Naraya items. I only bought a pouch, that is also the trendiest pattern I could find - HOUNDSTOOTH! The rest of the items sold there are quilted materials, or floral patterns.

Kuang Seafood pricing are higher compared to last year :( And the portion is very unreasonable too...Looks like I have to find a new restaurant for dinner.

Their prawns are soooo tiny! And they charged 200 baht / RM20.

Early flight back to KL!

Took pic of a random lady standing in front of the TV with a special sensor. If you look closely, you can see that she's holding a digital lantern in the TV! XD

Will travel Bangkok again next year! See you soon, Bangkok!

November trip to Bangkok [Part I]

Hey lovelies! ♥♥♥
In early November, I went to Bangkok to shop for CNY clothes! I went before last year, but it was middle of the year :) Went there for 5 days! I definitely bought more clothings than last year, but still wasn't enough. Mum didn't allow me to buy certain clothes cause she said I will look fat in it -_-

This time, I put quite an effort in researching on places to visit in Bangkok, not just the usual touristy places. I think I make a good tour guide! I planned the family trip to Korea last few years too! Keke :)

Reached Bangkok at 3pm. The weather in Bangkok during the year end is cooler and less sunny than KL.

Stayed at Novotel Platinum again :) We can't compromise on hotels, this has got to be the best hotel in Bangkok! Super convenient!

Starbucks right downstairs the hotel. Bangkok still has Hojicha, I think it's all year round on their menu :/

Bought this top on the first night. Handbag belongs to Katie. Top and bag is 100baht / RM10 only! Dirt cheap...Before that I was contemplating whether to get NERD or GEEK, because I think I'm both. Lol figured that I'm more of a nerd than a geek.

The unglamorous behind-the-scenes. I had to iron it at night in the hotel room, it's too crinkly.

Day 2!
No make-up make up! Just eyeliner and lotsa mascara. People always ask me if I draw my eyebrows everyday, the fact is...No, I don't. It's semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo. I made them at Empro, it claims to last for 2 years. Pain is bearable.

Free buffet breakfast every morning! Novotel Platinum has the best buffet spread! Not much variety, but all the food tastes delicious! I was so happy that they had broccoli and cauliflowers every morning :D

The more secluded corner of the buffet place. Our favourite spot :)

Upside-down elephant defying gravity!

Novotel Platinum is right on top/beside Platinum Fashion Mall. No need to take taxis or go thru the jam ^_^

Black Canyon coffee is cheap and famous in Bangkok! We have very few branches in KL...Their coffee in BKK is cheaper by half from Starbucks.

Visited the much-raved about Asiatique for the first time.   By taxi is roughly 300baht / RM30 per ride. We were lucky there was no jam, we went on a Sunday night. I read many reviews saying that the jam in the area is congested most of the time, but went we reached the place, there wasn't many cars in sight! Many people suggested taking the BTS and ferry ride to avoid the jam. Instead, we took taxis to and fro to the hotel ^_^

The place is like a outdoor, cooler version of Chatuchak Market. The place is filled with teenagers and tourists!

Many cute stalls! Tried their apple jasmine tea. So so good *_*

Dinner : Plentiful choices! There's Asian cuisine, Western, and Japanese too!

Thai style fish cakes!

We actually ordered fried egg, and they mistaken it for fried rice. Lol their fried rice is really good too..

DEAR GOD! Tom yam everywhere in Thailand is delicious XD
The difference between tom yam in KL and Bangkok is that, in KL, the tom yams are always really spicy. In Bangkok, the spiciness is mild. I typically love eating spicy food :)

Asiatique is located along the Me Nam Chao Phraya river.

This place is the best dating spot in Bangkok..So many classy restaurants ♥♥

Ferry ride is free, but I don't wanna end up with a face and hair full of smelling salty..Haha

Two-storey Japanese restaurant! You can eat at outside the balcony too!

A must try in Thailand! Young coconut ice cream for 40 baht / RM4. It has bits of coconut in it! ♥

Divided this Bangkok trip post to two parts!
The next part will be posted in a few days! ^__^
