Review: CLIO Peripera Peri's Tint Water in No.1 Cherry Juice

Hey lovelies!

Today I'll be reviewing on the new and improved Peripera Peri's Tint Water in the most famous shade, No.1 Cherry Juice! Peripera has recently repackaged their Peripera Peri's Tint Water and Peri's Ink early 2015!

I've finally got my hands on the product as most online shops are currently sold out or they sell them at ridiculously high prices! It's selling in Korea for 7,000 Won. However, you can get them from Watsons Malaysia in certain branches in KL for around RM 28.90 - RM31.90 depends on their promotion period :)

At first glance, I already fell in love with its packaging. Very chic looking.

The bestseller shade is No. 1 Cherry Juice!
No.2 Pink Juice
No.3 Orange Juice
No.4 Mandarin Juice
No.5 Strawberry Juice (NEW)

The sides of the packaging.

Instructions and tips

Expiry date from the day of opening the product is 12 months. I don't think I can finish the product in 12 months thou.

From the outside, the tint water looks like blood in the glass bottle. ♥ I really love the new cap design compared to the old design. This one has different cap colours for different tint water colours, where else the old design has the same light beige cheap-looking cap for all tint water bottles.

Short sponge applicator for easy, fuss-free application.

Peri's Tint Water in No.1 Cherry Juice shade. I tested swatches of 3 layers on my hand. The colour and intensity is very buidable and blendable. The colour intensifies with more layers applied.

Before applying. It is advisable to use lip scrub to exfoliate any dead skin on the lips a few hours before using as the colour seeps through the cracks if your lips are too dry.

I applied the first layer by dabbing three dots on my bottom lip and spreading them evenly.

I applied the second layer using the same method and the colour intensifies to a deeper pink.

The comparison is more obvious in this collage. If you prefer a gradient look, apply the lip tint on the inner lips only and dab without spreading too much to the outer lip area and the sides.

Tip: You can also use them as cheek tint to replace your usual blusher! Just apply one dot on the back of your hand before transferring the colour onto your cheeks using your finger. DON'T apply one dot directly onto your cheeks as the colour will appear too dark and red for your cheeks! Only use one dot of tint for both cheeks!

Overall, I love the colour payout and the price is reasonable. You only need a few dots to apply your lip tint, and it lasts for about 5 hours without eating and I don't have to reapply too many times too! The tint looks matte and natural on the lips, and looks subtle enough for university or daily look. It doesn't dry out my lips too, as compared to my previous Etude House lip tint which dries my lip and makes the skin on my lips looking flaky and cracked! It also has dual usage of both a lip and cheek tint. I love the colour on my lips as my skin complexion is fair, I usually prefer brighter colours on my lips. Orange just brings out my dark eyebags colour (lol). Oh and by the way, refrain from licking your lips after applying the lip tint, or you'll get a taste of what the lip tint tastes like. It tastes very bitter and has a strong chemical taste to it, then again, don't expect lip tints to taste like fruits anyway lol :p

Would I repurchase? Yes, I would definitely repurchase when I finish it! The question is, will it still be available the moment I finish up this bottle? I hope they still sell this in the next few years! :D I already have thoughts of restocking this colour! That's how much I love it! ♥♥

In this picture, I used both the Peri's Tint Water on my lips and cheeks. ♥♥♥

Review: Merchant's Lane at Petaling Street

Hello lovelies!

I've recently visited Merchant's Lane after reading up a lot of their reviews and friend's recommendations of the place. Finally I had time to try their food after finishing my last paper with my course mates!

The location is pretty strategic, in central KL, and yet not too nestled in the Petaling Street area. I had no trouble finding the cafe and parking around. It is located beside ATC College and on top of a stationery store. There is an open parking spot opposite it, which charges by hour. First two hours for RM3, consecutive hour is another RM2.

And kudos to their interior designer! I really love the atmosphere there! It has a touch of nostalgic coupled with its modern tiffany blue shelves and pink counter to bring a refreshing look to the cafe. Two of my favourite colours! This place is definitely every blogger and Instagrammer's dream cafe to snap pictures and #OOTD shots under the bright sun. Plenty of sunlight to take clear shots!

Greeted with cold air the moment we entered. That was unexpected :p I half-expected the place to be hot because from the pictures I've seen online, their pictures look like there were taken under the scorching hot sun.

Al-fresco area for smokers or people who want to take pretty OOTD shots against their grudge-styled walls :D It's very hot outside thou.

Temple-like circle incense and rattan chairs at the other section behind the al-fresco zone. This section is air-conditioned. Where can I get that pretty flowers painting?

Meals for 4 pax!
Left to right: Italian chow mein, followed by two South China Sea, rose honey milk, rose tea, Eat Die Me and hot chocolate.

Italian chow mein (RM23) is a tad too spicy for our liking. It is like a fusion of dry curry mee and aglio olio.

South China Sea (RM24) grilled salmon were a bit fishy, but then it varies to the salmon for that particular day. My friends ordered two. One was fishy, the other was okay. The eggs were bland too, wished there was more seasoning on it.

Eat Die Me (RM26) was my favourite, and it was my meal! I love the combination of everything on that plate. I especially enjoyed the bread and mushrooms. THE BREAD, oh god..it was not the regular hard cardboard toast. The bread was a little sourish, but very soft and fresh. It's sourdough bread if I'm not mistaken. Mushrooms were a combination of different types of wild mushrooms. The potatoes (shredded) a little oily, but I love potatoes in any form, so it was still acceptable. Scrambled eggs and sausages are okay :)
There are selections for types of sausage meat and how eggs preferred to be served.

Rose honey milk (RM12) looks pretty in pictures, but the milk taste like regular milk. However, I do like the aromatic scent you get when you take a whiff of the roses in the cup. I can only smell the roses when I'm drinking the milk thou. And my bad, cause I don't normally like drinking milk, I only drink chocolate and strawberry milk :p

Eat Die Me at RM26 and rose honey milk RM 12.
The meal looks so Instagramable _

My friends posing for new pictures to tag #OOTD on Instagram! :p

The girls taught me how to stand and pattern pattern for the camera. I still suck at it hahaha

Overall, I found the food unique, tastes OKAY, but with the Western-Eastern fusion going on, it's a nightmare for picky-eaters (like me). I guess I will stick to the same meal the next time I visit! There is still much improvement to be made, but for now, it's coping up pretty well for a new cafe. This is also my new favourite place for big breakfast! :D
