I'm back to blogging! Hopefully I will be more consistent with my blogging :p I've just finished my last degree paper two weeks ago! I still remember I created this blog in my early foundation days! How time pasts fast...I kept wishing that time would past quicker, but now that I'm almost completed with tertiary studies, I kinda miss studying! ;)
To reward my days weeks and months of preparing for finals, my parents arranged a trip to Malacca for me to unwind from all the stress! I felt recharged after the trip! :) We overnight in Malacca this time!
Food trip itinerary
Day 1 : Chung Wah chicken rice balls > Jonker 88 Cendol > Christina Ee > Unicorn Cafe > Restoran Lee seafood > Putu Piring Jalan Tengkera > Restoran Pak Putra
Day 2 : Restoran Yong Peng yong tau foo > Klebang original coconut shake
Reached Malacca around 9am! Chung Wah chicken rice balls is always our first stop! This chicken rice balls is the main reason that we travel to Malacca! I don't know what sorcery is this, but I can easily eat more than 10 rice balls without feeling full! Like my stomach is some kind of black hole sucking in all them chicken rice balls! HAHAHA! Anyway, the total bill came up to RM68 for 6 pax :)
Always enter this local snacks shop and end up with plenty of snacks when I leave. Like OMG, I actually planned to window-shop only!
Frozen fever still hot in HOT MALACCA
Favourite Snapchat filter at the moment. Coachella inspired flower crown! ♥
Jonker knick knacks! Cool Malacca shirts at the top right corner!
Jonker 88 for post breakfast!
Baba cendol for RM4 per bowl! We skipped ordering the nyonya laksa because we wanted to try out another restaurant!
Still looking tired after completing my final paper less than 24 hours before this picture was taken!
Daehan, Manse and Minguk! ♥♥♥ The three of us showing off our braces!
Rarely see this spot this empty during the weekend!
Christina Ee's famous fresh dodol, pineapple tart and egg cookies! ♥ Her pineapple tarts are amazing! Get the cube shaped ones! I prefer the cube shaped pineapple tarts over the conventional round shaped tart.
I got the cube shaped pineapple tarts for RM19! Get the egg cookies shown on the right side too, it sells out fast!
Taste similar to Lavender Bakery's pineapple tarts. Lavender ones are premium priced :p
My dad and I couldn't resist the smell of roasted dried squid!
Yeap, we got a bag of dried squid for RM20 to eat in the hotel lololol
Holiday matching tattoos! :D
First time trying Unicorn Cafe. It's similar to the KL's Straits Food Company in Bangsar.
LARNCHHHHHH!!!
Nyonya laksa, pongteh, popiah, pai tee, apple juice and lime juice. Total bill is RM 40+ :)
Popiah
Pongteh babi
Nyonya laksa
Pai tee! I ate this in one large bite. So much for being lady-like...Pfttt
Checked in to the newly furbished Ramada Plaza hotel, previously Renaissance Hotel
Love the bathroom! It's so well lit and clean! :)
Well lit and bright enough for me to put on makeup. Lol I have no idea why am I carrying so many stuffs in this picture. Three bags and one water bottle.
King size bed and a large sofa bed! My sis slept there cause we brought our own blanket. The sofa was so comfy and warm! Don't have to add a bed, just bring a large blanket along! Perfect for four people in a room :p
Snapchat quality lol. My OOTD :p
The river view from our room!
Dinner! We walked a few steps from our hotel to Restoran Lee seafood! :)
Crunchy sweet marmite pork ribs
Sambal belacan kangkung
Minced pork with tofu
THIS IS A MUST ORDER! Carnation crab! Creamy spicy sauce with crabs! The sauce is like the famous Fatty Crab in PJ! Restoran Lee seafood serves large fresh crab differently from the commercialised seafood dishes in Portuguese Settlement.
BBQ crabs.
Hipster nyonya food restaurant next to Ramada Plaza hotel
Lobby still same furniture and design as Renaissance Hotel
Toilet selfie with the maknae :p
Taking shots like this and people start commenting, "Hey you look tall, your legs look long!". Er excuse me peeps, the truth is, I AM tall! Tall enough to be one of SNSD members la hahahahahaha!
Dad drove us to pack putu piring from the famous putu piring place at Jalan Tengkera! RM1.10 per piece may sound expensive, but it's worth it cause their putu piring is stuffed with gula Melaka that you can taste with every bite! I miss the putu piring now that I'm blogging about it...
Putu Piring Melaka is closed on Sunday!
Our last stop, supper at Pak Putra famous tandoori and roti naan!
Might have to wait awhile before you can secure a table and get your order taken.
Brought our putu piring to eat with tea tarik. Best combo ♥
Look at the filing! Loads of gula Melaka! No wonder there are so many people queueing for his putu piring!
Roti naan cheese, tandoori chicken, buttered chicken (the one in metal bowl) and potato zeera (lol nama glamor Zeera)
Tender chicken pieces in buttered sauce. Taste like boneless chicken in marinara sauce XD
Naans in making! Yum! Fluffy naans ♥
Rare shot of an almost empty indoor seating are of Pak Putra, taken at 10.20pm. There are still many patrons seated outdoors!
Day 2! Late breakfast after sleeping in. Finally had a great night sleep and woke up without using an alarm clock!
Yong Peng yong tau foo
Curry laksa
Coconut husks smells awful by the way. You'll probably catch a whiff of something that smells like poop, but it's actually just dried coconuts lol
Dirt cheap here at Klebang compared to the overpriced coconut shakes in KL!
Refreshing coconut shake with a scoop of ice cream!
My tidbits haul from Malacca! :D
Signing off ♥
