Finally the last day of the tour has come! We've extended another 3 days in Taipei on our own because the tour only covers a fraction of the city :| That's the thing with tours, they don't really offer comprehensive tours in the city.
The east part of Taiwan is pretty chilly from the light drizzles throughout the day.
Yilan Vegetarian dishes
Desktop kimchi? :D
Ducks by the lake
We head out at 8.10am from our cosy accommodation, Toucheng Leisure Farm and started an hour-long bus journey back to Taipei.
9.15am reached a feng shui centre.
*yawn* I wish we could skip spots like this during the tour.
Eg. Crystal/ginseng/pearl shops and what not.
11am Lunch time at King Da One Noodle.
Free flow of side dishes and noodles! Just the meat aren't refillable :p
Taiwanese version of "ban-chan"
Crispy marinated pork chop paired with springy flour noodles!
12.20pm Grand Hotel
Prolly the grandest hotel I've ever seen. It just stands out like a sore thumb in comparison from the other luxury hotels!
Here for photo op and also, *cough* toilet breaks :p
1pm Martyr's Shrine
Two guards guarding the main entrance of the shrine
The guard changing ceremony starts prompt at 1.30pm.
Wow, so many oppas ♥
Two new guards taking their shift. This is the last step!
OH GOD NOOOO
Pearls this time. Nope, not getting any.
Maybe in another 50 years? ;)
In the city, at last!
My favourite Innisfree ♥
Local artiste having a fanmeeting at Watsons
TADA!
The icon of Taiwan!
3.20pm reached Taipei 101
The interior and premium brand names in Taipei 101 reminds me of Suria KLCC :D
Feeling the Christmas mood!
Food court structure similar to the Pavilion KL one
Just got a drink cause I was thirsty instead of hungry. Surprisingly, in a bubble tea land, this particular cup of milk tea was unsatisfactory imo. It tastes watered down :/
5pm Songshan Station right beside Raohe Night Market
The temple beside Raohe Street Night Market under construction
Trust me when I say I've never played crane games before. The chances of getting something out of this game is highly unlikely anyway, so I just don't bother trying it -_-
Grilled squid using charcoal
Fruit jellies
Pot stickers/dumplings :)
This shop tempting me to spend all my Taiwan dollars here hahaha
Plenty of cute character merchandises (mostly not genuine)
So purdy! But the clothes are way pricier than the clothes in KL...
Grilled mushrooms! I swear my brackets almost came off when I ate this. So hard to chew! :o
We had our proper dinner here :)
Looks clean and organized here so we decided to try it out.
Lou rou fan again!
LOVE this Taiwanese snack! Grilled crunchy pork skin! Bought one bag of it to snack on in hotel.
Time for tong sui!
Perfect desserts! Red bean soup with tang yuen and peanut mochi.
Saw Daehan, Minguk and Manse wore these crocodile onesies during their Busan trip!
;p
My mum gave me a weird look after she saw me taking this picture
Dorayaki with various fillings!
7pm Time to head back to the hotel for some rest!
Taipei 101 illuminating at night on the way back to the hotel. It was still early the time we unpacked our luggage, so we head to Sanhe Street Night Market nearby for a second round of desserts! Didn't bring my camera down cause my neck was aching by that time. The market is relatively smaller and less crowded compared to Raohe.
Tomorrow is the start of a new day on our own Free and Easy trip (planned by yours truly!) ♥
Watch out for my Day 5 Taipei Zoo post next! :)
Signing off ♥
