November trip to Bangkok [Part I]

Hey lovelies! ♥♥♥
In early November, I went to Bangkok to shop for CNY clothes! I went before last year, but it was middle of the year :) Went there for 5 days! I definitely bought more clothings than last year, but still wasn't enough. Mum didn't allow me to buy certain clothes cause she said I will look fat in it -_-

This time, I put quite an effort in researching on places to visit in Bangkok, not just the usual touristy places. I think I make a good tour guide! I planned the family trip to Korea last few years too! Keke :)

Reached Bangkok at 3pm. The weather in Bangkok during the year end is cooler and less sunny than KL.

Stayed at Novotel Platinum again :) We can't compromise on hotels, this has got to be the best hotel in Bangkok! Super convenient!

Starbucks right downstairs the hotel. Bangkok still has Hojicha, I think it's all year round on their menu :/

Bought this top on the first night. Handbag belongs to Katie. Top and bag is 100baht / RM10 only! Dirt cheap...Before that I was contemplating whether to get NERD or GEEK, because I think I'm both. Lol figured that I'm more of a nerd than a geek.

The unglamorous behind-the-scenes. I had to iron it at night in the hotel room, it's too crinkly.

Day 2!
No make-up make up! Just eyeliner and lotsa mascara. People always ask me if I draw my eyebrows everyday, the fact is...No, I don't. It's semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo. I made them at Empro, it claims to last for 2 years. Pain is bearable.

Free buffet breakfast every morning! Novotel Platinum has the best buffet spread! Not much variety, but all the food tastes delicious! I was so happy that they had broccoli and cauliflowers every morning :D

The more secluded corner of the buffet place. Our favourite spot :)

Upside-down elephant defying gravity!

Novotel Platinum is right on top/beside Platinum Fashion Mall. No need to take taxis or go thru the jam ^_^

Black Canyon coffee is cheap and famous in Bangkok! We have very few branches in KL...Their coffee in BKK is cheaper by half from Starbucks.

Visited the much-raved about Asiatique for the first time.   By taxi is roughly 300baht / RM30 per ride. We were lucky there was no jam, we went on a Sunday night. I read many reviews saying that the jam in the area is congested most of the time, but went we reached the place, there wasn't many cars in sight! Many people suggested taking the BTS and ferry ride to avoid the jam. Instead, we took taxis to and fro to the hotel ^_^

The place is like a outdoor, cooler version of Chatuchak Market. The place is filled with teenagers and tourists!

Many cute stalls! Tried their apple jasmine tea. So so good *_*

Dinner : Plentiful choices! There's Asian cuisine, Western, and Japanese too!

Thai style fish cakes!

We actually ordered fried egg, and they mistaken it for fried rice. Lol their fried rice is really good too..

DEAR GOD! Tom yam everywhere in Thailand is delicious XD
The difference between tom yam in KL and Bangkok is that, in KL, the tom yams are always really spicy. In Bangkok, the spiciness is mild. I typically love eating spicy food :)

Asiatique is located along the Me Nam Chao Phraya river.

This place is the best dating spot in Bangkok..So many classy restaurants ♥♥

Ferry ride is free, but I don't wanna end up with a face and hair full of smelling salty..Haha

Two-storey Japanese restaurant! You can eat at outside the balcony too!

A must try in Thailand! Young coconut ice cream for 40 baht / RM4. It has bits of coconut in it! ♥

Divided this Bangkok trip post to two parts!
The next part will be posted in a few days! ^__^

First week of semester break!

Hey lovelies!
I'm enjoying my first week of holiday just fine...Living the life of a sloth :)
I make the perfect housewife (or housekeeper -_-). House-keeping and cooking is my forte!

First time trying Green tea Kit Kat! Got these from uncle who came back from Japan ^_^
Love how my nails match the Kit Kat logo!

Milky green tea coating with white chocolate wafers in it!

Homemade baked lunch! A healthy no-oil and guilt-free lunch!
I make sure the food that I cook looks nice and tastes good :p
I think it's just my OCD-ness kicking in.

Found a new steamboat place with delicious soup base and fresh ingredients!
A little pricey, but worth it for the amount and food given.
Each place of meat ball/vege/meat is RM8.

Happy birthday TiffanyH !

Hey lovelies!
I'm back in action! Gonna blog on my VERY belated birthday celebration last month!

This year's birthday celebration felt extra special...I can say that it's a birthday celebration I'll always remember :) Love my family and friends, thank you for making me feel extra special! ♥♥♥
It's even better since I've completed my degree year before my birthday! Yayers!

Good fringe day! Camwhore!
I shall not flood my blog with too many pics of myself. Hehehe

Super cute honey roll! ♥

Totoro mocha latte art! ♥

ME WANTZ

Samgyupsal / Korean BBQ for dinner!

Korean BBQ is so expensive nowadays after all the Kpop craze...Some commercialised Korean restaurants play Kpop performances to lure customers.
Since the Kpop craze, everyone wants to eat the same type of food that their Kpop idols eat -_-

The ahjussi gave us a private room! ^_^

Super shiny pretty pink purse ♥

Karaoke at Red Box!
Buffet so many people! Food is ok :)
Their murtabak very delicious!

Thanks for the surprise and the yummy cake!

I'm a happy girl! (Even though I don't really look happy here) XD

Thanks for the beautiful and heart-warming birthday wishes! I'm happy to know that I really meant something to you all! I got to keep in touch with my friends from secondary school, these friends still cared for me :') Can't wait for the next birthday! Many surprises to come!

Review: Nature Republic and The Face Shop haul

Hey lovelies!
This post will be a short review of items bought from Nature Republic and The Face Shop from KL actual retail store, and not from KoreaDepart or any online shops.

Prices in KL retail stores are about 70% more expensive than the products sold in online shops. But nothing beats using the actual product before purchasing! So consider this as sampling..If it's good, I will make my purchases from KoreaDepart :)

This is a free lip balm from Nature Republic (after purchasing above RM150) called Perfume Lip Balm in Peach Fruits Holic scent.
This lip balm has a strong sweet peach smell, but it is difficult to apply and to reach the corners of the lip. A bit on the creamy side.

I heard really good reviews on the Bee Venom range from Nature Republic. I haven't read any reviews on their toner thou. I'm quite disappointed with this product, as it claims to be suitable for combination/sensitive skin. After using it once, my skin instantly feels like it's heating up, it created red patches on my skin. The next morning, I see some whiteheads on my face.

I thought it could be something causing the whiteheads, so I tried the product after a few days. I got the same problem :(

So I stopped using this on my face, instead I use it on my neck where it's less sensitive. Sis just bought a new whitening toner from Hada Labo (available in Watsons and Guardian) and it's mild and gentle to use. Loving Hada Labo's toner :)

So my advise is to get a sample of the toner before getting it. Ask for samples from the counter if they have samples for this range.

Whitening Collagen Dream 90 Skin Booster from Nature Republic.
The bottle is really heavy, feels very solid compared to The Face Shop's cheap packaging :p

Raspberry Roots Sleeping Mask from The Face Shop
This mask smells like heaven! Nothing special with the bottle thou, made out of plastic.
I used this almost every night, and restocked with another bottle!
My skin always feels more elastic and clear the next morning!

Nature Republic The First Eye Cream.
And again, eye creams doesn't work for me. This belongs to mum..Hehe

Review: KoreaDepart Haul #3

Hey lovelies! ♥♥♥

This review will be a quick one! I ordered from KoreaDepart for a BB cream because I was running out of BB cream, and I want to try out a better BB range!

As usual, plentiful of samples! I'm still using the samples, so far I've only tried the It's Skin Strawberry Jam gel eye cream and Skinfood Good Afternoon Honey Black tea BB cream! I've only got one face, how to try all of them so fast! XD

I won't be writing full reviews on products that aren't post-worthy, in other words, products that aren't good.

It's Skin Strawberry Jam gel eye cream - smells good, not sure if it helped in reducing the appearance of my dark eyebags. It's cooling and soothing on the skin.

Skinfood Good Afternoon Honey Black tea BB cream - smells like tea mostly. I tried it on, and it was so sticky during application. After a few hours, my skin felt so oily and sticky, and I didn't sweat much on that day, I was mostly in indoors!

My purchases are Holika Holika Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner in No. 05 Brown Amber and
Skinfood Nail Vita in Black BW705.

MISSHA M Signature Real Complete BB Cream SPF25 PA++ 20g
No.21 (Pink beige)

I won't be writing a full review on this too, just a short one.
It has medium to high coverage, and it's buildable. More on the dry side, it is harder to apply, but it stays the BB stays on for very long. You have to apply and spread evenly the instance you put on your face. Do not dot the cream on your face and spread it afterwards. Even after a whole day out, the BB cream still stays on my skin.

Tried the Holika Holika eyeliner. I love how it stays on your eyelids all day long, but it can get a little smudgy if you have oily eyelids, or if you rub your eyes. This colour tends to get harder to fill in the gaps in between my eyelashes. I preferred the pinkish glitter eyeliner that I bought last time. This one is suitable for drawing catliner.

Review: Three Little Pigs & the Big Bad Wolf @ Bangsar Village I

Hey lovelies! ♥♥♥

I'm back blogging after two months of hiatus!
Finally completed my first year in Degree! Which means I have few months of rest till the start of the next degree year! :)

This post will be a review on Three Little Pigs & the Big Bad Wolf restaurant located in Bangsar Village I. This restaurant serves PORK, so this is a NON-HALAL RESTAURANT. Don't say I didn't warn you! :D

I went there after seeing a lot of people posting pictures of their meals in Instagram. Most of the meals looks very Instagram-able ^_^ I went on a Wednesday afternoon with the girls for lunch date/Stephanie's surprise belated birthday!

Meals are kinda like Plan B and Antipodean style.
Typical breakfast meals with eggs benedict, creamy pastas and overpriced salads.
You can see the pricing in the menu above.

Pricing is around RM20~RM30 (excluding tax)

Three little pigs and a big bad wolf.
Hehehehe

We went around lunch time, so it wasn't really crowded..Besides, it was on working weekday.
I heard that the place is really packed at night thou. So it's advisable to make reservations if you're coming with a big group of people.

Chef's recommendation.
Wolf's Favourite Pasta. It is creamy spaghetti with bacons, mushroom and poached egg. The fried bacons are a tad too salty. I find the portion very little compared to the price (RM28). Or maybe it's just that I have a big appetite for someone my size.

It was really awkward to take a group selca in front of the entrance as it is located in the middle of a supermarket! As in the entrance is right in the supermarket, near the confectionery section where they sell hot dogs, milk and cheese! You might find difficulty to locate the restaurant, you'd be surprise where they will direct you to the entrance! XD They have an alternative entrance, that is you have to walk out to the open parking space to enter the restaurant.

Ambience: ★★★★★
Plenty of sunlight if you sit beside the window, perfect light for pictures! Seats are comfy. A nice place to be seen!
Taste: ★★★★☆ Normal.
Pricing: ★★★☆☆ Expensive, for a student..Hehe.
Service: Ok. It took quite long for the food to arrive thou.
