TiffanyH's Hair Care Tips

Hey lovelies!

This post is my first post of the year 2016! I was super busy with my final semester in university! It’s been awhile right? J

Today, I’ll be sharing my tips and know-hows on maintaining my locks! My hair has always been the wavy and dry type, thus, requiring extra hair care every day. My hair care products essentials are:
- Shampoo (I wash my hair everyday because I can’t stand the greasiness on my scalp!)
- Hair conditioner (I always choose a nice smelling one )
- Hair mask (applied about 3 times a week)
- Leave-on treatment hair cream/ hair serum/ hair oil (applied before styling)

My hair care routine starts from shampooing > conditioner or hair mask (on days when I don't have to rush for morning classes) > leave-on treatment hair cream :)

There are various types of hair care products in the market. Make sure to choose the shampoos and conditioners that matches your hair type! If you're unsure of your hair type, just ask your hairstylist!
I always use coloured-hair shampoo! :)

L to R: My current leave-on hair cream and a snail extract hair oil

I use this on days when my hair feels dry and before curling my hair! You can see that this tube is almost empty already! :)

Back then, I used to refrain from using any leave-on hair creams and oil because I worry that it might cause acne or oiliness whenever my hair comes in contact with my face. Fortunately, it’s a myth! My hairstylist recommends that I apply the hair cream after PARTIALLY drying my hair (about 50% dry) and then proceed to style my hair. I use the cream especially on days when I curl my hair. It protects my hair from the heat (from the hair curler) and leaves a shiny coat to my hair after curling them! My curls also last longer throughout the day! J

Healthy, shiny locks all day long! ♥♥♥

As for my hair colour, it is either I DIY by buying two boxes (for shoulder length) of hair dye or head to the hair saloon and sit for about 4 hours to allow my hairstylist do the job. I always choose the latter but I have also done self-coloured hair at home recently!

The reason why I choose self-coloured is the choices of colour available in market and the price! It saves you a hefty amount compared to dyeing your hair at the saloon for three-digit prices! Besides, my hairstylist offers very limited colours, mostly dark colours :p

Since I'm doing it at home, I got a pricier hair dye brand that claims to achieve hair saloon quality results! I got a light brown blondish colour, colour code 6.13 Golden Nude Brown.

Before: You can notice uneven colours on my hair and obvious black hair roots!
During: Wrap a towel around your shoulders and get someone to help you with applying the cream for more even hair dye cream coat on your hair!
After: Glossy, coloured hair! So happy with the results! My friends didn't believe me when I told them I did it at home :D

That's all for my hair care and hair colour tips for my dear readers! Don't be afraid to experiment with hair care products and hair colours! ♥
